A Tribute to Sir Brian Clarke (1953–2025)

Sir Brian Clarke was one of the great artists of our time, and the foremost master of contemporary stained glass. This short segment from The Art Review on @londonlivetv was filmed at Sir Brian’s spectacular exhibition at the Newport Street Gallery with Heni in London. It remains one of the most outstanding shows I have ever covered.

Sir Brian’s visionary work transformed the possibilities of glass as a medium—bringing colour, architecture, and light into a breathtaking dialogue.
