BAYEUX: THE TAPESTRY THAT MADE HISTORY - WE ARE GOING INTO PRODUCTION! 🎬

Ben Weaver, Art Historian/Presenter; James Nicholls, Host/Presenter; Dr Alison Smith, Curator/Presenter; and Sam Hockley, Producer.
We are delighted to announce that filming begins this week exploring one of the most extraordinary works of visual storytelling ever created.
From 1066 to the Future, timed to coincide with the extraordinary return of the Bayeux Tapestry to Britain and its exhibition at the The British Museum. Nearly 1,000 years after the events of 1066, the Bayeux Tapestry remains an extraordinary account of history told through images.
But our programme will look not only at the history it records, but at why this remarkable form of visual storytelling has endured, and how the art of tapestry continues to evolve today and into the future.
We recently brought together part of our team at the The Wallace Collection as we prepare to explore one of the most extraordinary works of visual storytelling ever created, and a story that continues to resonate nearly 1,000 years later. There is much more to come as filming gets underway this week.
From 1066 to the Future, the story continues!
Warm regards
James
