Being so sunny here in London yesterday, Daniele and I walked through Battersea Park, crossed Albert Bridge to review the Treasure House Fair at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea. The fair offers special opportunities for collectors and visitors to discover an eclectic diverse mix of special treasures. We enjoyed meeting with Philip Mould, the legendary art dealer and TV star. Last month I interviewed Philip in his gallery for a special TV feature on his successful 'Mary Beale' exhibition. Included in Philip’s Bloomsbury set stand at the fair are paintings by Harrington Mann, Vanessa Bell, Augustus John and Simon Bussy. Philip is giving a series of talks.
There is much to see and enjoy at the Treasure House Fair and a favourite of ours was the magnificent innovative furniture by French designer Hubert Le Gall in the stand of 'Univers Du Bronze'. Daniele had to drag me away from the Classic Cars on display.
We ended up on the Terrace area outside meeting several friends and enjoyed some Rose wine together. The Treasure House Fair is open until this Tuesday 2nd July - if you can do visit. Have a super Sunday...best, James
